Do you believe in the Oscar Best Actress Curse? Let's check on the stories of some best actresses first.

Recently, the 2010 Oscar Best Actress Sandra Bullock canceled her supposedly London premiere for the movie "The Blind Side" after In Touch magazine published a claim that her husband, Jesse James, cheated on her. The celebrity magazine interviewed a California model, who asserted that she had slept with James while Bullock was filming in Atlanta last year.James, on the other hand, had apologized for the pain and embarrassment that he had caused to Bullock and his children.

Oscar Best Actress Hillary Swank and actor Chad Lowe separated in December 2006 after winning two Oscars. In her first Oscar, Swank forgot to thank Lowe during her acceptance speech. And she spent almost every public appearance to make up for it. Upon winning her second Oscar in 2005, Lowe was the first person she thanked.

Oscar Best Actress Reese Witherspoon and actor Ryan Phillippe separated at the end of 2006 and divorced in 2007. She won an Academy Award for her role in "Walk the Line" in 2005.

Oscar Best Actress Halle Berry and musician Eric Benet separated in 2003. Berry was the only African American woman to have won the Best Actress award for the film "Monster's Ball" in 2001.

Oscar Best Actress Julia Roberts and partner Benjamin Bratt separated three months after Roberts received her Best Actress award for the movie "Erin Brokovich" in 2000.

Is it just a coincidence or a real deal torment to our most talented actresses? Is it because of the fame that actresses tend to be separated from their husbands? or is it because the actresses' husbands could not manage their fame? The rumored consequence of winning the most prestigious award is too hard to ponder. Who would even want to lose a partner after becoming the most recognized actress by the Academy Awards? The success of these Oscar Best Actress could have threatened the masculinity of their husbands or could have triggered their insecurities. Oh well, most of the time, men cannot handle the highest level of success attained by their partners. Sad thing tho'!
